Privacy, in plain words
This page is about the website, and mostly about the waitlist. The app is a separate matter and is covered at the bottom.

Who we are
ProofLink is a UK digital identity built around your passport: the chip is read on your own phone and checked against the country that issued it. Documents never pass through this website at all.
What we collect
When you ask for early access, we take three things:
- Your name, if you choose to give it
- Your email address
- Whether you want the app, need to check ages, or want to integrate
We do not ask for a passport, a date of birth, a payment card or a photograph of your face on this website. Those belong on your own phone, later, and only if you decide to use the app.
Why we collect it
So we can email you when a TestFlight seat opens. That is the whole purpose. We do not sell the list, we do not rent it, and we do not use it to advertise other people's products.
Who holds it
Your details are stored so our operators can see who is waiting, and a copy is sent through Formspree, a form service that receives waitlist messages on our behalf. They process the same name, email and interest so that we can read them in a mailbox.
If you sign in as an operator, we keep what is needed to recognise your account: a name, an email, and the sign-in method you chose. That is so we can open the waitlist, not so we can build a profile of you.
How long we keep it
Until we have written to you with an invitation, or until you ask us to forget you, whichever comes first. If you would rather not wait, just ask and we will delete the row.
Your choices
Email hello@prooflink.app from the address you signed up with and say you would like to be removed, and we will delete your waitlist entry. If you have an operator account you can sign out at any time.
Cookies
The public pages do not track you for advertising. If you sign in, one essential session cookie remembers you for the operator view, and that is all.
The app
On the phone, the passport is read over NFC and stored encrypted under a passcode that is never kept anywhere. A zero-knowledge proof binds that document to a wallet. None of it passes through this website.
Children
The waitlist is not for children under 13. Please do not send us an email address that belongs to a child.
